ENJOY WAKING UP SURROUNDED BY NATURE, ON THE BANKS OF THE CHOBE AND...

  • experience the most unique arrival to a pilates retreat ever: Serondela is only accessible by boat. We get picked up in Botswana by boat; then cruise - via a pitstop border crossing on a Namibian island - to our retreat venue in Namibia. Don't forget to bring your passports!

  • see wildlife all day every day: observe wild animals from your bedroom, the pool and your pilates mat

  • stay and sleep in a fully catered chalet in the wilderness, in one of the largest conservation areas on Earth, the (O)Kavango Zambezi Transfrontier Park. Sit by the campfire, under the Milky Way lighting up the night sky and listen to the magical sounds of the bush

  • sunset safari cruise to explore Chobe National Park with experienced guides

  • daily pilates, with optional additional yoga, breathwork and meditation

  • optional (for additional fees): massages / treatments; Chobe game drive; further lodge activities; additional night's stay

YOUR SAFARI HOME

  • 8 eco chalets overlooking Chobe National Park and the Chobe river

  • each chalet has twin (2 single) beds or 1 king size bed, en-suite bathroom and a veranda

  • swimming pool 

  • delicious meals prepared by our in house chef, - trained under the Italian owners of the lodge

  • plenty of space and outdoor seating to take time for yourself

  • optional beauty / massage treatments in house

  • 60 min boat ride from Kasane Port​

HOW TO GET HERE

  • Pick up will be at Kasane Port; return transfer from there to Serondela, at the agreed group times, is included

  • please get in touch to arrange car sharing, or transfer quotes and transfers from anywhere else (eg. Victoria Falls town, Zambia, etc.)

  • nearest airport: Kasane Airport; or Livingstone or Victoria Falls International Airport; 

  • happy to recommend routes, please msg for any further questions re transportation

TYPICAL DAILY SCHEDULE (TBC)

6:30 Enjoy the sunrise, a quiet cup of tea, watching the animals coming to drink

7 Pilates

8:30 Breakfast

10 free time, pool, treatments, or visit to a local village

12  Lunch

3 Afternoon: mindfulness and yoga workshop; 

4 safari cruise on Sat 

7 Dinner at the lodge

All activities optional; eg if you have a partner who wishes to join you but is not into pilates.

INCLUDED

  • 4 days & 3 nights accommodation

  • daily pilates, yoga and mindfulness - 5 sessions total

  • boat transfer at set times to & from Kasane

  • 3 meals a day (arrival day: dinner and departure: breakfast)

  • water, tea and coffee at venue

  • National Parks fees and conservation levy

  • 2 activities (sunset cruise and one other, tbc)

NOT INCLUDED

  • Visa - please check which countries you will visit and if you need a visa; at the moment UK or Zimbabweans do not have to pay a visa for Botswana or Namibia, although if you bring a car to Botswana there is a small fee to pay

  • extra activities and treatments

  • yoga equipment, please bring your own although happy to discuss special requests

  • insurance: please take out travel insurance which includes practicing yoga (most standard travel insurance will include this, but please check)

  • laundry, tips for cleaning staff 

  • Drinks apart from tea, coffee and water

ABOUT YOUR HOST, MAGGIE JAMES

Maggie​ is an experienced 750+hours yoga and pilates teacher; she has been practicing yoga and pilates for 20 years and teaching since 2017. She is passionate about sharing the joy and compassionate nature of yoga and the beauty and grounding of the African wilderness. Read more about your host here

FAQ (FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS):

  • Weather? Very similar to Victoria Falls weather; green season.

  • Is it safe with the animals so close? Yes, our venue protected by highly experienced, qualified guides

  • Is there malaria? Please consult your GP and follow their guidelines. 

  • Vic Falls or Chobe day trip? I am happy to share options for a visit or day trip.

  • I want to go on further safaris/exploration/stay longer after this retreat, can you help arrange? Yes, happy to.
